I've installed the 9.31 software on a new iMac, but am getting the message "Board is not connected". Everything is connected - screen, USB and sound. Without a manual or documentation, I've run out of ideas. I'm also getting an lsadrv diagnostic. The board writes okay, and projects dvd's, but won't save screens and I can't write directly on the screen. Can anyone help?

George Tsaousidis: Hi erasmus,

When this happens again, can you please do the following:

In the StarBoard Software, go to Settings → StarBoard → Check Connection.

Give it up to 120 seconds to locate the board. A messagebox will be produced if it doesn't find the board, otherwise the watermark will disappear.

Please feedback the outcome.

erasmus: I did try that at the time, but it didn't help. I'll be there in a couple of hours, so will try it again and let you know. Perhaps I didn't wait long enough.

George Tsaousidis: Thanks erasmus; it usually takes up to two minutes, please be patient. Looking forward to the response.

erasmus: Tried it. I get an instant message that it's not connected and doesn't appear to be even trying after that. I wasn't asked to provide a key when installing the software. Did I miss something there? This works on the machine right beside it so it's not the connection. Identical iMacs. What am I missing here?

George Tsaousidis: Hi Erasmus

This could be due to a service that has failed to load.

We are waiting for some documentation from Japan for troubleshooting, but in the mean time, you may wish to reinstall the StarBoard Software.

erasmus: Okay. Will try that tomorrow morning. Thanks for your help.
