- Hi there, I\'m from a little town on the far noth coast of NSW and work for a rather little organisation which aids in teaching and training Registrars to become General Practitioners. We purchased the IWB to help with our training for the registrars. I am slowly working on learning the board myself so I can teach other staff how to operate and use effectively. We don\'t use it in a school like setting but do require it to be used as a learning tool just in different ways. I\'m wondering if there is anyone else out there that uses or knows of someone that uses the board in a similar way? We would also like to use it for conferencing, when we hold meetings we would like to be able to write over spreadsheets with notes and presentations with comments etc. Are they any real handy tips to get started in using it? Thanks for your help in advance and a great community. Cheers.
- Hello StarBoard Users, Some of you may have encountered issues with downloading the Mac version of the StarBoard Software 9.2 upgrade for your system. We have looked into the issue with our service provider and are implementing the solution. We should have the issue resolved within 48 hours. We greatly appreciate your patience.

- I have upgraded the Starboard software to 9.2 and am having trouble finding files that were saved by the previous version. Previously when you went to \'open\' it came up with a list of files to choose from. The 9.2 version has a more \'windowsy\' layout (which I like by the way) where you do a file-save or file-open procedure. However, when going to file-open, I can\'t find any files to open, even though there were a bunch of files in the old format. I\'ve looked in the location where they were being saved and there don\'t seem to be any files there! Any ideas? Thanks.
- Urgent!!! Hi,we are from Wesley College Melbourne, Australia and we have implemented a lot of Starboards in the school. Now we are migrated teachers\' notebook from a Novell environment to Windows AD. I have a problem with Starboard Software 8.0 and FX-Duo Whiteboard once teachers have been migrated. When I connect my Notebook to the board, it displays well and I can use it interactively on Windows Desktop. Once I started Starboard Software, it stops working instantly and not reponse any more. We are using Windows XP SP3 and Starboard 8.0.The teachers have \"power user\" right to the computer and \"My Documents\" folder are offline synchronised folder. We have been changing the Starboard data save location to Local drive instead of \"My Documents\". Please advise.
- We have a teacher at our school using Windows 7 with the new starboard software. She moves between a room with an Old Starboard and one with a new FXDuo board. The new software works fine on the old board, but goes haywire on the new board. I myself have the new software and I use the same FX Duo Starboard with Vista. Mine works great. What do you reckon could be the problem?

- Can anybody give me a strengths and weaknesses of the Hitachi? I'm familiar with Promethean, keen on Smartboard but less keen on a US product and like the looks of the Hitachi. Promethean and Smartboard have a wealth of accessible resources and lessons. Is this the same for the starboard? How good and how plentiful are they for Maths and English K-12 in particular. Smartboard comes with Notebook software suite of lessons ..... Is there a comparable offering with the Starboard? Keen to get the latest and greatest in terms of practicality, user friendliness and resource quality. All comments greatly appreciated. Mark :)

- Hi all, new to the forum and the hitachi boards so apologies if this is the wrong place??? I would liek to create my own clipart images from pictures i already have but would like the backgrounds to be transparent as they are in GIF format, any ideas or help would be appreciated
- I've installed the 9.31 software on a new iMac, but am getting the message "Board is not connected". Everything is connected - screen, USB and sound. Without a manual or documentation, I've run out of ideas. I'm also getting an lsadrv diagnostic. The board writes okay, and projects dvd's, but won't save screens and I can't write directly on the screen. Can anyone help?
- I have recently updated to new softare. Is there a way to automatically increase the size of writing (with old software it did it when you enlarged the box around it. The new software enlarges the box but not the text - this has to be done separately through font size)?

- How can I edit my tool bar menu? Once I dragged new tools into it and pasted them, is there a way to change/edit it? Thank you
- Hi guys, I have an urgent enquiry - in regards to the activation of the software. I am aware that with the earlier versions of the Software the board had to be connected to the computer within 30 days; what happens actually if it is not done within 30 days? does it uninstall itself? or does it need to be installed again? Thank you in advance
- Hi Is it possible to turn the Starboard off, so that when it is not in use as a "Starboard" and people walk past the board, it does not register as tracking and clicking of buttons, which is causing multiple screens to open. Thanks Bron
