October Edition - Hitachi Starboard FXTRIO New Triple Input Feature

This month we would like to introduce you to an excellent free software resource which you can download from the web and use at the IWB. We have used this extensively with students and it’s a great discussion starter also it is an ideal software package to actually bring students to the board.

The resource can be found at an interesting site called gapminder.org the resource itself is called DOLLAR STREET… the site is worth investigating as there are other good resources for teachers there as well, which work with IWB’s.
"Dollar Street contains photo-panoramas from households at different income levels.
Current version includes 13 household and 3 school documentations from Mozambique,
South Africa and Uganda. You scroll the street to left and right to move up and down the street.
Then click on the houses to get inside and explore different household functions."
